With the U.S. Mint discontinuing pennies, we are updating our cash payment process.

For cash transactions only, our POS system will round your final total to the nearest $0.05 (nickel) at checkout.

Card, app, and gift card payments are not affected and will continue to be charged to the exact cent.

How cash rounding works. Cash payments only

When you pay with cash, your final total is rounded as follows:

• If your total ends in $0.01 or $0.02 → it rounds down to $0.00

• If your total ends in $0.03 or $0.04 → it rounds up to $0.05

• If your total ends in $0.05 → no change

• If your total ends in $0.06 or $0.07 → it rounds down to $0.05

• If your total ends in $0.08 or $0.09 → it rounds up to $0.10
